About me:

I'm an artist born and raised in lovely Lawrence, Kansas. I've done a little bit of everything, and I'm always trying and learning new things. I draw inspiration and energy from the natural world around me, and much of my work captures the pattern and flow of growing things. For me, making art is a meditative practice, I'm drawn to delicate, repetitive work which necessitates connection.

I completed my undergraduate degree at the University of Kansas. I majored in Psychology, with minors in Sociology and Visual Art, concentration on sculpture. I had the honor of studying under the Great American Foundryman, John Hachmeister. With him, I attended Iron Tribe and participated in my first large-scale performance and production pours. I fell in love with the foundry community and spent a few years building connections and travelling across the midwest for pours. Alas, having graduated, I haven't been as involved in metalwork.

Although I work full time, I am still making art on the side - currently focusing on ceramics. I am extremely detailed and my pieces take a while, so I don't produce a ton of work at once. I love when my art connects to an individual and brings them the same peace I found while making it. My work lives with family, friends, and local collectors.
